A Pennsylvania court on Friday sided with the Secretary of State’s office and ruled that the Republican lawyers representing Russian asset third party candidate Cornel West had failed to file the required affidavits for 14 of West’s 19 electors, thus disqualifying him, the AP reports.
The Libertarian Chase Oliver and other Russian asset Jill Stein were able to qualify. Stein however is in serious trouble in Wisconsin where the state Supreme Court is expected to rule as early as Monday on a challenge brought by Dems to purge the scumbag from the ballot. Cheesehead Republicans are barely bothering with the “voter choice” bullshit and screams of “Democrats hate actual democracy” as they work desperately to file amici briefs to the 4-3 majority liberal court.
On the other end Robert F Kennedy Jr will likely be successful in withdrawing from the ballot in Pennsylvania and Arizona. CBS News election law expert David Becker reports the same cannot be said of Michigan, Nevada, or North Carolina, where the roadkill guy will most likely have to stay on the ballot because in each of those states he’s the nominee for local third parties who would not want him pulled for risk of losing access for whichever candidate they choose in 2028.
Now obviously we’re not going to know how successful the efforts to stop these fucking sandbaggers from splitting off votes will have been until after election day. Dems absolutely crushed it in 2020, boxing Kanye West out of every battleground and the Green Party dipshit from the same except for Michigan. This year Cornel West is on the ballot in North Carolina as is Stein – who’s also qualified in Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and in Wisconsin (for now). So quantifiably not as successful as in 2020, but unquestionably in a better place from where the media would have you believe say 9 or 10 months ago with all those piranhas getting dumped into the bloody water around Joe Biden, salivating at the opportunity to serve their Orange Master.
Now Cornel West’s making Kanye look competent and organized. No Labels, fuck off, lol. Bobby Jr begging his fans to vote for Trump in the swing states while still stuck on the ballot in at least three of them. Stein’s a traitor and has no place on the ballot in any state but this isn’t 2016 where there are disaffected Bernie Bros looking for somewhere to dump a protest vote.
The bottom line is that while the risk posed by lefty third party shitbags is not zero it is far closer to zero than it looked like earlier on in this cycle. Dems did an admirable job separate and apart from the apparent consolidation resulting from Kamala Harris taking over. Crushing No Labels and turning Bobby Brainworms into more of a liability than an asset for Trump sounded like pipe dreams but they got it done. Would love to see Stein bricked in another state or two though.
