A new national survey of registered voters by Marist College/NPR/PBS News finds Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of convicted felon former President Trump 49 to 48 percent in a full field of Russian-backed third-party candidates, a lead that rises to 51 to 48 percent among likely voters.
In favorability ratings Harris is 1 percent in the black at 47 to 46 favorable/unfavorable while Trump is 5 points underwater at 45 percent favorable to 50 unfavorable, while 52 percent of respondents think Harris, not Trump (47 percent), is the candidate who represents change. Identical shares believe Harris (52 percent) is more likely than Trump (47 percent) to care about regular Americans.
