House Oversight Chairbilly James Comer has scheduled a hearing next week on the Biden-Harris Administration – and yeah, that’s really our lede for this press release laundered by Fox News:
FIRST ON FOX: The House Oversight Committee is planning a hearing next week broadly targeting Biden-Harris administration policies and their effect on Americans, Fox News Digital has learned. Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky, is scheduling the hearing – titled, “A Legacy of Incompetence: Consequences of the Biden-Harris Administration’s Policy Failures” – for Thursday, Sept 19, at 10 am ET.
Comer accused President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris of causing “skyrocketing inflation, the worst border crisis in American history, high energy prices, chaos around the world, and rampant waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement at federal agencies,” in a statement to Fox News Digital on Thursday.
Yup. This is where we’re at. A major Congressional hearing about the conduct of the executive branch over the last three and a half years, jamming in a wide array of different topics rather than say, like, their handling of the Department of the Treasury or Homeland Security. It’s everything, all in one super mega hearing, and holy fuck what the hell does this moron think he’s doing?
Really hard not to see this as like a do-over for Trump’s debate performance, like Comer is so freaked out that this is how he responds to the Orange God Emperor’s failure. It’s not like Comer’s that smart either but even he seems to know that it was a clusterfuck and appears to be panicked into responding in such a bizarre and stupid way – as if he’s going to draw the same audience that the ABC debate did and that Jamie Raskin and Dan Goldman aren’t going to make it hell for him.
