Team MAGA keeps racking up the own-goals as the Washington Post reports this ad, cut by “Preserve America PAC” – a pro-Trump operation backed by old bag Miriam Adelson – all about how Kamala Harris supposedly egged on the rioters after George Floyd was murdered and Tim Walz was too weak to stop the anarchy. The cop featured in the ad, former Minneapolis police officer Scott Creighton, had been the first defense witness for Derek Chauvin when he went on trial for murdering Floyd. The ad doesn’t mention it, but it does seem to say, in not so many words, that they failed to do their homework and that maybe a guy whose testimony about his 2019 arrest of Floyd was undermined by his own bodycam footage might not be the best messenger to swing voters.
