Loser former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will show up to a House GOP meeting Wednesday to do the only thing he was (legitimately) good at in the years prior to his humiliating exit: distributing money he raised from donors to vulnerable incumbents in the party, Punchbowl News reports.
So far in this cycle, McCarthy has given $40.5 million to members, candidates, the NRCC and state parties, and plans to stay politically engaged – with money, which again was the only thing he ever really brought to the table for the party – to try to help Mike Johnson hang on to the majority.
