Election officials in Portage County, Ohio on Friday announced that the board had voted 3 to 1 to contract with private security and local police departments – rather than deputies under dipshit MAGA Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski – to provide security for voters on election day after Zuchowski posted on Facebook a call to write down the addresses of neighbors with Harris-Walz 2024 signs so they would (purportedly) know where to dump migrants in the event of a Harris win, WKYC reports.
“As Chair of the Board of Elections and the other Democratic member of the Board of Elections, made the second. We hope the voters of Portage County will vote this November free of any concerns of intimidation with this security in place,” wrote Portage Dem Party/County Board of Elections Chair Randi Clites in a post. “This morning as one of the four Board of Elections Board Members, I made a motion to amend and update the Portage County Election Administration Plan for 2024. The motion was to remove the Sheriff Department from providing the election security at the Board Office during In-person Absentee Voting. The Board is weighing its options to utilize private security already in place at the Administration Building or the Ravenna Police Department. My motion passed 3-1.
