Michigan Attorney General Dana Messel on Friday announced charges against four assholes in Macomb County who voted twice in the state’s August 6th primary and three poll workers who let them do it, charges that local Republican DA Pete Lucido had failed to pursue, the AP reports.
Lucido had declared that there was “no malicious or criminal intent” when the four had voted absentee by mail and then showed up to vote in person on primary day. Nessel disagreed and pulled rank. “There are so many different procedures that are involved here. I think if you’re not highly familiar with this, the way that our staff has become, it’s easy to make mistakes,” said Nessel.
