Yeah, we’re not really going to get into this so much as let it speak for itself and note that it’s easy enough to see how CNN could have fucked this up by putting a white guy in the studio to have to tell a Black MAGA radio host Shelley Wynter that it might be kind of offensive to say “This race is between house African-Americans and field African-Americans, and the field African-Americans are going for Donald Trump.” Former DNC official Mike Blake did that job excellently.

The whole MAGA propaganda-industrial complex seems to be focused on the Black vote this morning, and we’re not sure how much of it was preplanned to run anyway since Harris had her big Charlamagne Tha God hit on Tuesday or if it’s damage control after the obese felon told a crowd that same evening that Black and Latino Dem voters need to have their heads examined.

All of it’s coming after the New York Times’s polling warned of a softening in Black and Latino support for Harris, with the crosstabs published over the weekend. The fanboys LOVED it, because they love anything that confirms their belief that the Orange God Emperor will win.

Except that same national New York Times poll also said Trump was down 2 among whites relative to 2020. If it’s the word of God – it isn’t because we didn’t enter the Times’s findings on gender, income, education, etc even before we question the assumptions in the that FiveThirtyEight scenario app and the Times polling itself – then she still wins, albeit with a zero electoral college margin.

(There’s also that the Latino vote didn’t actually flip, it’s just Harris’s is down relative to Biden’s. It’s 276 if we just split it and call it a 10 percent drop. Also, Biden’s 2020 polls also showed some softening Black support – 83 percent in September – before they “came home”).

The bottom line is that, as crucial as Black and Latino votes are to the Dem coalition, they’re actually distributed pretty inefficiently across the swing states. Trump could make the massive gains in the non-white vote implied by the Times polling and still lose a squeaker solely because of a 2 percent flip among white voters… and that’s before we even talk about the Neo-Nazi ones not in on the kayfabe with his appeals to Jews and minorities and won’t be showing up for him this year.
