Source on convicted felon former President Trump’s campaign tell the Bulwark that “comedian” Tony Hinchcliffe’s set at Sunday’s Madison Square Garden rally originally “had a joke calling [Kamala] Harris a ‘cunt,'” that they asked him to edit out before he went on stage, which he did.
“Let’s say it was a red flag,” the campaign insider said, meaning that calling Puerto Rico a floating pile of garbage, saying “Jews have a hard time throwing out paper!” while making a money grubbing hand gesture, carving watermelons with P Diddy (because he’s Black), and the “cum inside” line were not red flags at all and the Trump team said go right ahead with those “zingers.”
Of course the dickheads at Mediaite credulously led their reporting with the opposite Monday morning, printing a quote from the RNC saying “The entire speech was not vetted,” but only notionally mentioning that was probably bullshit by acknowledging that Hinchcliffe was reading off a teleprompter. The Bulwark’s Marc Caputo’s sources claimed instead that that the lines were ad-libbed so really who the hell knows since we’ll never see the teleprompter’s text file.
Sources inside Trump’s campaign were split on how to handle the fallout. As expected, Team Fuck Your Feelings were staying true to their brand, with one saying “People need to grow up. This is what we’re campaigning against: PC culture run amok,” while the other side were pissing their pants, saying “this isn’t the hill we need to die on, Puerto Rico as a trash island – for fuck’s sake!”
