America’s communist neighbor just can’t catch a break as eastern Cuba has been hit with a 6.8 magnitude earthquake on Sunday, four days after Category 3 Hurricane Rafael tore into the island and weeks after its electrical grid collapsed due to lack of fuel, the Associated Press reports.
There were no immediate information on major damage or injuries available, though folks in Santiago, Cuba’s second largest city, told the AP they had heard screams and saw masonry cracking during the lengthy initial rumble that was followed by at least two strong aftershocks.
