International megacorporation/coffee chain Starbucks on Friday opened the doors to what’s perhaps its most artillery fire-prone location, a new outpost located in the Aegibong Peace Ecopark atop a hill overlooking the demilitarized zone stretching across the Korean peninsula and the Potemkin Village sitting directly across in the communist northern half, the Associated Press reports.
Officials in the South Korean city of Gimpo said hosting Starbucks was part of efforts to develop the area as a tourist destination and said the shop symbolizes “robust security on the Korean Peninsula through the presence of this iconic capitalist brand,” and yeah this is a troll to the commies.
