Liberal protestors on Saturday delayed the start of the far right Alternative for Germany (AfD)’s conference in Saxony, with as many as 10,000 demonstrators blocking roads and holding up the vast majority of the 600 or so Fourth Reich delegates who planned to attend, DPA reports.
The AfD are putsching the pedal down hard in next month’s snap national elections, called following the collapse of Chancellor Olaf Schulz’s governing coalition in December.
