Former South African President Jacob Zuma’s MK party on Monday filed a complaint accusing a white Afrikaner group of treason for spreading disinformation about the Expropriation Act, the signing of which led to convicted felon President Trump responding with sanctions against the country, likely on the orders of demented Afrikaner billionaire Elon Musk, Reuters reports.
“Treason has been committed, we contend, by them, because they are plotting against our government,” said MK’s top member of parliament John Hlophe, just after filing the complaint against white revanchist group AfriForum. “Based on those lies, those fraudulent misrepresentations, Trump decided to issue an executive order against South Africa.” No idea whether the complaint, which is now in the hands of the National Prosecuting Authority, has any teeth to it – as in if this is like an FEC complaint that goes nowhere or if the group could be in deep shit for lying.
