In a letter sent to ratepayers in two Huntsville, Alabama-area counties that voted for convicted felon President Trump by margins of 9 and 43 percent in the November election, provider Huntsville Utilities informed them that the fat fuck is directly responsible for a $100 increase in their heating bill next month after he canceled a grant for that amount on his third day in office.
“This letter informs you that your above-referenced utility account has been debited for $100. Community Action Agency of Huntsville/Madison and Limestone Counties has notified us that the grant you received for $100.00 on January 23, 2025 is no longer valid due to President Trump’s executive order to rescind the funding behind the grant. The grant you received for $100 has been debited to your account [number] and will be due with your next invoice. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you need to make payment arrangements or have questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our office at [phone number],” says the February 7th letter obtained by Popular.Info’s Judd Legum, emphasis added on Trump being named as responsible.
Usually when a politician promises to do something like say, cut energy costs in half, it might help to use whatever preexisting resources are available rather than dig a hole, right?
