During a Tuesday morning GOP caucus meeting on Capitol Hill, the Wall Street Journal’s Olivia Beavers received a tip that NRCC chair Congressman Richard Hudson “just very dramatically told members to put down their phones and listen, per source in room,” after which Hudson said unequivocally that House Republicans need to cease all town halls amid the series of increasingly embarrassing and tense in-person confrontations with voters that began just about two weeks ago.
Per the Daily Beast’s Juliegrace Brufke, the term Hudson used was actually “paid resistance people” who “are out there like in 2017.” High school dropout Lauren Boebert stood up and claimed that she and her kids were harassed outside their home, but for all we know that could just be the dad of a 14 year-old girl her son Tyler knocked up and it doesn’t matter if he’s Democrat or a Republican.
