Tianeptine, which is often called ‘gas station heroin’ because of its availability in gas station stores, is not approved by the FDA for any use.” Yeah but neither are “SUMATRATONIC – My Fat Melting Tropical Hack!” or “NativePath Grass-Fed Collagen Peptides!” and you don’t seem to be in a rush to crack down on the Gateway Pundit and other far right propaganda sites for selling MAGAmericans that kind of bullshit, but go on.

“I am very concerned. I want the public to be especially aware of this dangerous product and the serious and continuing risk it poses to America’s youth. While the FDA is closely following the distribution and sale of these products, it is critical that you appreciate the magnitude of the underlying danger of these products, and disseminate information about it.” Well for every guy with a fancy “MD, PhD” after his name saying gas station heroin is bad there could be thousands out there who have done their own research on YouTube and come to a different conclusion about the product. It was the same so-called “doctors” who said ivermectin was useless against COVID so why should anyone listen to this Faucist fraud about anything else? Let’s hear what Joe Rogan thinks.

And to drop the MAGA voice for a second, Makary does not at all seem prepared to answer such questions to the millions of Trump fans who will be “just asking” them. He’s in over his head here.
