Former parking lot lawyer-turned-Acting US Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba has been under a state Supreme Court’s Office of Attorney Ethics investigation since January 2024 over a non-disclosure agreement she duped a former waitress at convicted felon President Trump’s Bedminster club into signing after the waitress tried to sue her manager for sexual harassment, NOTUS reports.
Long story short, Habba behaved less than ethically toward the waitress, Nancy Bianco, by befriending the then-21 year-old before steering her into the NDA. And Habba kind of broke the law because NDAs are illegal in the state of New Jersey. And then there’s another ethics complaint over Habba’s office bringing an indictment against Newark Mayor Ras Baraka. Probably not good for her.
But then again not having a license to practice law might not be that big of an issue when it comes to getting her confirmed in a Republican majority Senate full of ballusucking Trump cultists.
