Concluding that because by August 1st most retailers will have stockpiled everything they’re going to sell this holiday season, Axios reports that convicted felon President Trump’s TACO-ing has saved America Christmas from himself and his pointless, destructive obsessions with this stupid tariff shit.
“The Administration has consistently maintained that the cost of tariffs will be borne by foreign exporters who rely on access to the American economy, the world’s biggest and best consumer market,” Axios prints from White House spokeswiener Kush Desai in their article before pointing out that in August 2019 Trump himself acknowledged that consumers actually pay them by delaying tariffs on Chinese goods then, telling reporters that he were pushing it back “for the Christmas season… Just in case some of the tariffs would have an impact on US customers.”
In related-ish news, the weekly YouGov/Economist national survey found Trump’s approval on his handling of inflation/prices – the number one issue for all respondents – is now down to 33 percent.
