Sources in the Senate GOP tell Politico there is “rising concern” among their ranks about whether Iowan Joni “Well we are all going to die” Ernst will run for reelection next year, concern that probably wasn’t ameliorated when Ernst’s spokesworm said “Senator Ernst is focused on her work delivering for Iowans in the Senate to make Washington ‘squeal,’ making President Trump’s historic tax cuts permanent through the One Big Beautiful Bill, and advancing a strong NDAA,” without actually saying whether or not she’s running. Another source said Ernst last month privately said she’s still deciding.
