Former parking lot lawyer turned Acting US Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba isn’t acting anymore as the federal judges in her district on Tuesday declined to extend her 120-day appointment to the post without confirmation by the US Senate, the New Jersey Globe reports.
Habba could still serve another 210 days through some loophole if other useless asshole Attorney General Pam Bondi so chooses, but that’d probably be delaying the inevitable since there’s no chance in hell Senators Cory Booker and Andy Kim are going to want to give her a Blue Slip. The Senate GOP could always blow up the Blue Slip system but that’d be blowing it up.
