Here’s more for Oklahoma MAGA voters to be not at all embarrassed about from their elected officials as Senator Markwayne Mullin on Sunday repeatedly and vehemently insisted to CNN’s Jake Tapper that now-dead sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s first federal indictment was brought by the Obama Administration in 2009 “way before Trump was even considering to be in office” – which is bullshit itself because Trump ran a brief third-party bid in 2000 – but the larger misstatement is that it was the prior year, during the Bush Administration. Oh and that the then-US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, who struck the “sweetheart deal” with Epstein was none other than Alex Acosta, who served as Trump’s Secretary of Labor until 2019 when he resigned under pressure after the sex trafficker came under renewed scrutiny from media and federal law enforcement.
Scrutiny that Trump himself is probably more likely than not to have been solely responsible for creating all the way back in February 2015, months before he even officially launched his Russian-backed campaign when he told Sean Hannity that Bill Clinton’s a “nice guy. Got a lot of problems coming up in my opinion with the famous island with Jeffrey Epstein. A lot of problems.”
Now over 10 years later here we are with those problems kind of turning into mutually-assured destruction for the Orange God Emperor and the cult that worships him on the Sunday shows:
There might even be some non-Jeffrey Epstein-related clips as we enter week four of this MAGA shitshow.
