“The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) increased 0.4 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis in August, after rising 0.2 percent in July, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased 2.9 percent before seasonal adjustment,” says the Bureau of Labor Statistics in the monthly CPI report. The small sliver of good news for the Trump Regime is that the 2.9 percent rise was in line with expectations.
