Sources tell CNN’s Annie Grayer that a coalition of Dem state attorneys general are planning to file a lawsuit on Tuesday to keep SNAP money flowing to recipients after the Trump Regime said they’re going to sit back and let poor families starve after current funding runs out on Saturday.
Pretty smart politics. The Dem AGs aren’t the Dems in Congress. All the messaging from both the Regime and the Congressional GOP is “THE DEMOCRATS ARE GOING TO FORCE POOR PEOPLE TO STARVE BECAUSE THEY WANT TO KEEP THE GOVERNMENT SHUT DOWN!!!111!!” Now Trump’s DOJ will have to stand in front of a judge and explain why they won’t agree to just fund SNAP, every word of that horseshit defense packaged up neatly, attributable to “The Trump Administration” for the D talking points. And, who knows, they might actually get a win with an order to unfuck SNAP.
