All you’ll get from voting Democrat is unrelentingly High Crime, Energy prices through the roof, men playing in women’s sports, and HEARTACHE!” posted convicted felon President Trump on Sunday, which got buried because the fat bastard then proceeded to endorse who the hell knows how many of his loyal supplicants in congress, most of them probably safe in deep red districts and won’t lose.

However it’s the above rant about Tuesdays elections that merits scrutiny. The immediate follow-up to it even more so: “For all of those people voting in New Jersey and Virginia for Governor, Attorney General, or any other position, please remember this: A REPUBLICAN VOTE MEANS A DRASTIC DROP IN ENERGY PRICES AND ENERGY COSTS, A DROP LIKE YOU’VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE! – A DEMOCRAT VOTE MEANS A DOUBLING, AND EVEN TRIPLING, OF YOUR ENERGY BILLS AND PRICES, TRADITIONALLY THE HIGHEST COST OF AN AMERICAN CITIZEN! So, if you vote Republican, your Energy Costs are going to go down, tremendously! If you vote Democrat, your Energy Costs are going to go ‘through the roof,’ making Energy virtually unaffordable for you and your family to pay. Also, remember, that if you don’t go to the Polls and VOTE, it’s the same thing as voting for a Democrat. SO, GO TO THE POLLS AND CUT YOUR ENERGY COSTS IN HALF!”

Last weekend the Bulwark’s Jonathan V Last and Sarah Longwell concluded on “The Focus Group” podcast that Trump doesn’t actually give a shit who wins in Virginia or New Jersey for any practical political reason beyond simply “Win one for Big Orange” in New Jersey because he endorsed Republican Jack Shittarelli Ciattarelli (but hasn’t even bothered to make one goddamned post backing by name doomed GOP nominee Lt Gov Winsome Sears down in the Old Dominion State).

To Donald and his fanboys this these races are an ego thing in the same way that too many analysts and columnists are going to say that Dem wins in these states would be repudiations of his reich and blah blah blah. Shittarelli wins it’ll be a testament to the unstoppable political force that is the Orange God Emperor, if he loses it’s not a big deal and doesn’t mean anything because New Jersey’s a Blue State with a lot of libtards and immigrants filling out fake ballots blah blah blah.

So maybe it’s not these posts themselves that are so fucking stupid as much as the issue the fuhrer chose to harp on. He could’ve just stuck with the trans girls in sports but for some goddamned reason it’s the energy prices. A lot of it in caps. And, as has been pointed out here before, uh, kind of dated. “A REPUBLICAN VOTE MEANS A DRASTIC DROP IN ENERGY PRICES AND ENERGY COSTS” was one of the top anthems of Trump’s lie-filled campaign to return to power last year.

As was “Gasoline will come down to approximately $2 a Gallon.” And yet here we are, tens of millions of those who had not previously voted for him did so because they bought into that horseshit, now being tried on however many New Jersey and Virginia voters who he would have believe that a state governor can make such miracles happen when the president himself evidently cannot. Or just needs more time. Or Chuck Schumer and the Democrats are stopping him from doing it. Whatever.
