At some point this is becoming less of a “Hahaha Japanese bears are rising up against humans” and more like a “seriously what the fuck is going on over there” kind of thing as during a nationwide rampage that has left at least 12 dead and roughly 100 injured this year that has now required the military to be deployed, an airport in Iwate Prefecture halted all flights an hour and half on Wednesday as a bear entered the grounds and was spotted near the tarmac, NHK reports.
