First, foremost, and no matter what else it’s a horrific tragedy that two young members of the West Virginia National Guard were shot last week while on deployment in DC – Spc Sarah Beckstrom, 20, who succumbed to her wounds last Thursday, and Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, who WVNews.com reports is able to make a thumbs up, still faces a long road to recovery after taking shots fired by deranged Afghan refugee Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who entered in 2021 after Kabul fell to the Taliban.

Lakanwal, wounded in the shooting, suffers from severe mental illness and who the hell knows what prompted him to drive from Washington state to DC to fire at some National Guard troops just doing their job, even if the “job” was just bullshit optics for the Trump Regime. As much as the deployment was unnecessary and Trump just playing toy soldiers – and ballsucker West Virginia Gov Patrick Morrisey playing along to gain political favor with the Orange Toddler – nobody can seriously argue either were putting the troops in any more danger than the regular federal law enforcement agents/cops posted outside of major sites/buildings in and around the National Mall area.

Before last week’s shooting a freaking Subway sandwich to the torso was the worst thing that happened to any of the personnel on the streets during this “surge” into the nation’s capital. It’s not like DC is Fallujah and Trump was ordering them into deadly battles with armed insurgents.

Blame guns being in the hands of the mentally disturbed people who know how to use them, like Rahmanullah Lakanwal who saw plenty of action while serving with a CIA-backed anti-Taliban militia, service that earned him asylum in the US, the timeline of which was… not great for MAGAmerica.

Good old Axios, such a reliable oak of clinical remove from the utterly fucking demented assholery of the Republican Party, summing up the rough patch with “MAGA hopes the holiday season – and renewed attention on its favorite bogeymen – can produce a ceasefire in the pro-Trump movement’s burgeoning civil war. Why it matters: MAGA entered the year at the apex of its power, but has become mired in its most bitter infighting since its founding by President Trump in 2015.”

That was the context in which the shooting occurred, a burning malaise in the Trump fanboy universe palpable enough to give you a copper taste in your mouth last Wednesday…

These fucking ghouls NEEDED it to be something that could be somehow blamed on Dems. It’s not like not having any facts whatsoever – not even Lakanwal’s name at that point – was going to hold them back, they were just so utterly fucking desperate to get something to “unite” them against the left like in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. For Lakanwal to have been allowed into the US under Biden would have been a godsend that would have immediately brought the whole MAGAverse back together on the same page under a common cause of hatred a xenophobia.

Then the horror: the Trump Administration approved Lakanwal’s asylum application in April. Yeah, he’s been here since 2021, the Biden Administration had let him in, but it was Trump’s super-ultra-America-First regime that put the stamp of approval on him… And that was tough to cope with.

This misshapen freak just could not find a way out of this line of questioning that makes her look either incompetent by normal standards or forces her to admit that she’s simply not the hardline immigration system enforcer that she markets herself to MAGAmerica as. Her people trusted the information on Lakanwal that the Biden Administration left for them and then less than three months later they approved his asylum claim?!? THAT’s the message you have for the fanboys?

Look, the regime twists a lot of things to shape the reality around them. Relevantly here because they’re just going to inflict immense hardship on people from Afghanistan and dozens of other “hostile” countries anyway, as though that April asylum approval never happened.

They’re still going on with this shit, even eight says later. What’s different however is the tempo and the tenor, like they’re just kind of going through the motions with an impotence that they would not have had if this really truly could have been blamed wholly on Joe Biden.

In that universe it would’ve been wall-to-fucking-wall Benghazi on meth 24/7 round-the-clock furtive circlejerking on right wing media and official Republican/White House channels, those freaks Derrick Van Orden and Anna Paulina Luna screaming “YOU DID THIS!!!” at reporters and Democrats respectively the way they did after Charlie Kirk got shot by a kid in a relationship with a trans person. Beckstrom being called a martyr. A 24/7 candlelight vigil outside Wolfe’s hospital room.

This still photo op – with text that Trump didn’t write himself, a meeting that couldn’t have lasted more than 20 minutes, posted hours after it had occurred given the daylight outside, with people who he no doubt sees as dumpy hicks who bought new clothes at Walmart beforehand – would’ve been a televised production with all the pomp and ceremony he lavished upon the families of the 13 Marines who were tragically killed in the Abbey Gate bombing during the fall of Kabul. It was an obligation Trump foisted upon himself before he knew that Lakanwal has been granted asylum in April, so the Wolfes got the bare minimum since it’d be bad optics to cancel on them.

It’s more than the family of NYPD officer Didarul Islam got after he was shot dead by that maniac who drove across the country to try to kill Roger Goodell, but that happened in 2025 not 2024 when it could be something something Biden too soft on crime so he’ll campaign at a white Long Island cop’s funeral. It was more than Herby Dufresne, a Haitian refugee killed in 2025 by an illegal alien truck driver got. Sorry Herby, you’re not white and pretty like Laken Riley, tragically murdered by a Venezuelan gangbanger that Biden let into the country, so Trump doesn’t love you or your family.

Civilians or military, you poors are all just losers and suckers – until your death is somehow useful to the Reich and your memory can be used as a political plaything to own the libs with. Until then join the National Guard to stand around and make it look like you’re enforcing law and order for President Law and Order. Or shut up and stop falling for the Democrats’ affordability and Epstein hoaxes.

Whatever sacrifice you can make to help Trump and MAGAmerica get out their self-inflicted misery.
