Three different diplomats based in the Middle East tell Reuters that some personnel have been advised to leave the US military’s Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar by Wednesday evening local time in anticipation of Iranian missile strikes on the installation – strikes that obviously could only be anticipated as imminent if they’re launched in retaliation for another US strike on Iran.
One of the sources cautioned that it’s more of a “beat the traffic” thing than a “get the fuck out NOW” thing at this point, saying “It’s a posture change and not an ordered evacuation.”
