That’s some real moral courage that certain people with large followings couldn’t be bothered to display about 15 months ago, give or take.
You know, like specifically in an episode that dropped on October 9, 2024 when the same man just sat there and did not do so much as ask a substantive question or mount a strong challenge to a certain interview subject on his rambling hateful shit – that made it VERY clear that the horror that happened to Renee Good and Alex Pretti was coming. When this podcaster, Andrew Schulz and his super-popular show “Flagrant” had all the information in hand and a chance to say no to platforming the demented old slob who made it happen, Schulz said yes and with a big shit-eating grin.
He gets to live with himself, walk around with his fucking pornstar mustache that was kitschy and ironic back in 2010 when he was 27, sit down on his couch and reassure his audience that he didn’t endorse this particular aspect before he and his cohosts go back to some real talk in segments with titles like “Dyslexia = superpower + Visual learning” with former non-NFL star Tim Tebow or shooting the shit with star divorce lawyer James Sexton about how “Stereotypes are a real time-saver.”
Just because this is a “cheap gotcha” doesn’t make it any less morally true: Schulz, fucking Theo Von, dipshit Joe Rogan, rapey racist Dave Portnoy, Adin Ross, and all the rest of those cunts in the “brosphere” have blood on their hands (or maybe leave out Ross who’s like 19 and thus doesn’t possess a fully-developed conscience). They’re all adults who lived through Trump’s first term and knew full goddamned well that these atrocities were going to happen if they did their part to ensure that the then-disgraced former president did not die in the infirmary block of a federal prison.

People getting shot in the street like dogs is by nature dramatic and conclusive. It commands far more attention than the stories like that of Wael Tarabishi, above left. As of last week, the severely disabled 30 year-old Joshua, Texas man no longer suffers from a serious and rare genetic disorder called Pompe disease, which causes debilitating muscle weakness and heart problems. He’s dead.
According to CNN, Wael’s condition took a turn for the worse after ICE grabbed his father Maher, above right, during a check-in at a USCIS office a few months ago. Maher the only one who was really trained enough to properly care for Wael, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. He bathed, clothed, and fed his son through a plastic tube and when ICE took him away that was it.
“He’s the one who keeps me alive when I’m at my weakest,” Wael said last month in a statement read by the family to local station WFAA. “Without him, I am nothing. Without him, I cannot survive.”
Wael was right and – this is hard to type – ICE wouldn’t even let Maher visit Wael in the hospital as he was slipping nor attend his son’s funeral this week. ICE’s own website says they “permit detainees to maintain ties with their families through emergency staff-escorted trips into the community to visit critically ill members of the immediate family or to attend their funerals,” $100 fucking billion in new funding, thousands of agents recruited, and they couldn’t be bothered to detail a small squad to drive a man to go say goodbye to his son before or after he suffered and died.
These are all real. They’re all TikTok videos dated November 6, 2024 through the 11th or so. Just look at the dates to separate the genuine Trump fan ones from the libs copypasting them to mock the dipshits in 2025-2026. The genre was especially popular this week with the “Leopards Ate My Face” crowd after Trump said “People that own their homes – we’re gonna keep them wealthy. We’re gonna keep those prices up. We’re not gonna destroy the value of their homes so that somebody who didn’t work very hard can buy a home.” Shorter version was “fuck zoomers, love boomers.”
Anyway, it’s not Wael’s privation relative to theirs – he was still going to suffer from that horrible disease no matter what happened to that woman on the right and her stupid Chinatown-sold unlicensed Trump hair-visor. Or the one next to her that couldn’t sleep because she was so excited that America would be “safe” because Maher’s getting deported and if you feel sorry for Wael then how come you never felt sorry for Laken Riley or Mollie Tibbets or any white girls blah blah blah.
Sure, they’re contemptible, but how much agency can you really assign to someone simply fucking impressionable and malleable enough to post that stupid shit (and still not delete it all these months later when no, lol, they don’t have their own houses by now)? How responsible can you really hold them? The truth is that if those schmucks above weren’t themselves sold on Trump by listening to Schulz and the rest of the brofluencers millions of others in their generational cohort were like “Yo the Nelk Boyz say Trump’s ratchet so I guess I’m down with voting for him too! SIX-SEVEN!”
You may differ on the level of responsibility you want to assign to the individual no-info fucks in that demographic. You may want to think on a scale of culpability for the ones who were first time voters, Biden 2020-to-Trump 2024 voters, always-Trump voters, the mutliple millions who showed up in 2020 for Joe but couldn’t get the fuck off the couch for Kamala four years later, and every other combo in between. However much scorn you hold for the Trump side of that large universe of non-ideologically-committed, theoretically-gettable voters who damned us all with their feckless cuntery, remember that they were shepherded by a set of the non-ideologically-committed, theoretically-gettable bros with large universes of influence – and command massive sponsorship fees from “BetterHelp” AI psychotherapy and “Dr Squatch” men’s soap. It was they who turned Trump from a demented racist old criminal degenerate, who lasted 45 seconds with a pornstar and got himself convicted on 34 felonies, into the smartest businessman of all time, who was going to finally end the long economic hangover from the pandemic he utterly failed to properly handle and killed over a million Americans. And yet he was going to make houses affordable for their audiences (lol). With their power came responsibility and they failed.
See Tim Miller is just a great dude all around. He’s a top Bulwark podcaster, a former Republican operative whose last politics job was with Jeb! 2016. He’s married to a man but is also a sportsball fan who “codes hetero” with the way he speaks and dresses. In the preface to this October 2025 interview with Barstool bro Kevin F “KFC” Clancy, Tim is very emphatic about how Dems have chip at the MAGA advantage among younger men and goes on about how illuminating the convo was.
