A not-very exhaustive fact-check by CNN’s Daniel Dale reveals that, despite convicted felon President Trump’s claims during this week’s stupid “National Prayer Breakfast,” he did not secure the release, amnesty, and US asylum grant of Sudanese Christian activist Mariam Ibrahim just prior to her scheduled execution because he was not president yet when it happened in 2014.
“I did that. I did that. I did that with one phone call, actually,” Trump said. “And she had such support, it was so easy. And when I explained it to the powers that be: ‘Yes, sir, we will do it right away.’”
The Obama Administration secured her release. Dale postulates that Trump is so addled that he’s hallucinating the swift negotiation with the deferential Sudanese officials to secure Ibrahim’s release simply because she was invited to the White House in 2019. She was one of several religious persecution victims there at an event, and she probably did thank him for hosting her and what not.
In other questionable claims of credit, the fat bastard on Friday posted “The ‘Experts’ said that if I hit 50,000 on the Dow by the end of my Term, I would have done a great job, but I hit 50,000 today, three years ahead of schedule – Remember that for the Midterms, because Democrats will CRASH the Economy!” trotting out the same stupid fucking bullshit that didn’t work back in 2018 either.
