A new survey of Tennessee GOP primary voters by the Tennessee Firefly finds complete dimwit “life coach” Senator Marsha Blackburn leading Congressman John “Groomer” Rose 60.6 to 8.1 percent in the Volunteer State’s Republican gubernatorial primary race. It’s an embarrassing delta all the more insulting to Rose because he had launched his bid last February and Blackburn all but said “Nice campaign you got there. Would be a shame if another Republican with much higher statewide name ID jumped in five months later and completely fucked you over,” and did just that last August.
Missed it earlier this month but this is friggin insane: So desperate is Rose that a few weeks ago CNN reported he held out on his yes vote to fund the government for an assurance that convicted felon President Trump would stay neutral in the primary. Jesus Dork Mike Johnson told the network that “no promises” were made to Rose but it’s not clear whether Johnson was denying there’d been any quid pro quo whatsoever or if he was acknowledging there was but Rose did not get a solid commitment to a nondorsement. Guess he was too chickenshit to simply ask for the endorsement outright like he should’ve done the minute he launched his all-but-doomed bid nearly a year ago.
