A new Fox News survey of Texas voters finds Dem state Representative James Talarico leading corrupt sinner Attorney General Ken Paxton 51 to 48 percent in the extremely crucial Senate race.
If you like that then you’ll love the part where the propaganda network – whose polling is widely considered to be serious and reliable in contrast to its news-ish content – writes that “Talarico’s advantage in the horserace grows to 6 points among both extremely motivated and extremely interested voters (53 percent vs 47 percent in each group).” Take that for what you will, that in a world where sometimes the Democratic candidate’s lead in polling, whether they won or lost, turns out to have been overstated, that it’s always something to chalk up to response bias. Seems Fox’s pollsters are trying to correct for that, thus making the 51 to 48 look more realistic in contrast.
The upshot being that nobody should be surprised if Talarico wins by like 1.5 percent. If anything you might want to seriously consider this race to be “lean Democrat” and a flip as more likely than not.
