Spandex-wearing grapple-freak Jim Jordan is making plans for a run at the House GOP’s championship belt, CNN reports on the wrestler’s ambitions to lead the conference in anticipation of a majority loss next month which is then widely assumed to be the end of Jesus Dork Mike Johnson’s career. Jordan has in recent months quietly taken issue with Johnson’s leadership, complaining that he sent members home too early and thus squandered the opportunity to “hold more votes that would be politically challenging for Democrats,” CNN writes, adding that Jordan also wanted to again pass the SAVE Act just to pressure the Senate GOP some more.
This while Jordan knew it would never pass but it was good red meat for the base. Part of Jordan’s pitch for convicted felon President Trump’s support in a leadership bid is that, per CNN, he’s in “a unique position to defend Trump against Democratic investigations if Republicans are in the minority,” which his allies “point to his experience leading the Judiciary committee and defending the president during both impeachments,” lol. None of these allies mention that Trump got impeached anyway, the second time notably with no fewer than 10 defections from the House GOP conference.
Oh and Jordan failed to impeach Joe Biden. All that wasted spittle it never happened.
