Disgraced former President Trump’s plan to take on rival Ron DeSantis for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination will include attacks on Tiny D’s record as an “extremely lenient prosecutor” on child porn while serving as Assistant US Attorney from 2008 to 2012, Politico reports.
Already DeSantis allies are acting like facts are going to matter when the Orange God Emperor unleashes his wrath over some plea deals. “To make any allegation that he was soft on any kind of case, especially child pornography, is just ludicrous. It defies the logic of what I saw in the office or what my office would let happen,” said former Assistant US Attorney Ron Henry, DeSantis’s former supervisor at the Middle District of Florida. “He wasn’t a lone wolf on his own making deals without the entire weight of the US Attorney’s office overseeing what he was doing.”
