A Russian court closed to media and US diplomats on Tuesday ruled against Wall Street Journal Moscow correspondent Evan Gershkovich’s appeal against his detention, ordering him detained until the end of next month, which will almost certainly be extended, the New York Times reports.
Gershkovich was arrested late last month on bullshit espionage charges just a day after he filed a story accurately describing the abysmal state of the Russian economy and its grim prospects.
