“The Declaration of Independence says that we not only have the right but we also have the duty to alter or abolish any government that does not secure our unalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The right of revolution (or right of rebellion) is the right or duty of a people to ‘alter or abolish’ a government that acts against their common interests or threatens the safety of the people without cause,” says the current top comment on the Fox News article “Biden admin hit with lawsuits for hiding communications involving Cabinet secretary’s daughter.”
Probably safe to assume the commenter didn’t even actually read the article, which is just another one of those “watchdog group” circlejerks where they file a lawsuit that goes nowhere and then gets forgotten about, this one accusing Interior Secretary Deb Haaland’s climate activist daughter lobbying her mom about certain decisions on oil and gas leases, which to be honest falls just a little short of what might be weighty enough to merit drawing upon Michael Bay and Roland Emmerich movie scripts to weigh in. Or maybe he did and just decided to dial up the drama anyway.
