Florida MAGA Congressman Michael Waltz on Thursday became the ninth Sunshine State US House member to snub heels-wearing Governor Ron DeSantis and endorse fat former President Trump’s 2024 primary campaign, continuing an accelerating collapse in GOP support for Mickey Maoist – who hasn’t even officially announced a challenge to the Orange Allah yet, Breitbart reports.
We could go back and forth all day about whether these endorsements really truly matter. Outside of the GOP universe of course nobody really gives a shit about who supports who when in the end they’re all going to worship the nominee as a living God. On the other hand, you can’t deny that this adds to the perception that Tiny D is walking into a buzzsaw who really truly might be better off just not launching a campaign this cycle at all and wait for 2028 instead, when Trump will be out of the picture one way or another, no matter what happens in the 2024 election.
Worse, Politico reports that Republican Florida legislators (anonymously quoted, of course) are getting sick of catering to Ron’s every political whim, with one saying “People are deeply frustrated. They are not spending any time on the right problems… Most believe that the balance of power has shifted too far and the Legislature needs to re-establish itself as a coequal branch of government.”
