The Kraken scored a huge win in Dominion Voting Systems’ home city of Denver on Sunday, besting the defending Stanley Cup Champs the Avalanche 2-1 in a Game 7 first round closer, the AP reports.
Well we probably stretched this joke conflating the NHL’s Seattle Kraken with batshit crazy MAGA lawyer Sidney “Kraken” Powell as far as it reasonably could go. Dominion Voting Systems really is based in Denver, but the company’s “hometown” is really Toronto, home of the Maple Leafs. We guess the name “Dominion” comes from Canada’s sobriquet as a “Dominion” of the British crown.
Anyway, Sidney Powell is still the defendant in a $1.3 billion defamation suit by the company and she’s all but certain to be ruined for the rest of her life when she loses to them and Smartmatic. The Seattle Kraken will face the Dallas Stars in the second round of the NHL’s Western Conference playoffs, their next stop already remarkable run for an expansion team only in its second year.
