More than 100,000 motorcycle enthusiasts are gathering at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri for a rally as the state deals with a spike in coronavirus cases, according KSDK NBC-5.
Bikefest is expected to bring together 125,000 bikers with more than 300 bars and restaurants participating, including 50 live concerts.
In early August, the Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota have been directly linked to a spike in cases in the state as well as hundreds of cases nationally. A disputed study indirectly links people who attended Sturgis to a jump of nearly a quarter million cases in their home communities.
