In response to a statement from White House physician Sean Conley, saying that he didn’t want to “steer the course of illness” by providing negative information to the media about the health of President Trump, the White House communications director confirmed that he’s saying things publicly to buoy the spirits of Trump that might not necessarily be factual.

Alyssa Farah, the White House communications director and the daughter of misinformation site WorldNewsDaily founder Joseph Farah, said that Conley’s statements are made to protect Trump and “lift [Trump’s] spirits.”
