Trump-endorsed car dealer Bernie Moreno will face incumbent Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown in November after Moreno beat of competition from two other Republicans to take the primary, the Associated Press reports.
A one-time advertiser for male companionship, Moreno has a checkered past in Ohio, although it’s one that would endear him to Republican voters. Moreno at first believed the outcome of the 2020 election before becoming an election denier. As a businessman, he’s been investigated for wage theft on a number of occasions, paying at least $400,000 to resolve lawsuits. And he financially backed a “Donald Daters” Trump hook-up app his daughter founded which had a data breach on its first day of operation that exposed the personal information and text messages of 1,600 users.
