…Bushart is clearly one of the unhinged voices on the Internet who trolls and inflames others. At his arrest, even Bushart admitted that he is a bit of “an a**hole,” but insisted that he is not a criminal. He appears correct on both counts.

Right wing legal academic and TheHill.com columnist Jonathan Turley on Tuesday figured it was time to replenish his credibility tank as he’d been neglecting it for quite some time with nonsense about how NPR is a racket for disclosing its sponsors and that it was “disturbing” that one of former CIA Director John Brennan’s top aides once said he’s “not a Trump fan.” Seeing the legitimately disturbing story about how a retired Tennessee cop has been in jail for over a month on a charge of Threats of Mass Violence on School Property – because he posted a verbatim Trump quote “We have to get over it” in a Facebook comment under a planned vigil for Charlie Kirk – Turley picked the low-hanging fruit of a “principled free speech argument” and distilled it to fuel his credibility tank.
It’s not clear when the half-gallon of low-quality regular unleaded credibility will be squandered but the how is probably as simple as him going on Fox News and arguing the founders intended for convicted felon President Trump to loot $230 million from the Department of Justice.
