A 23-year-old Nebraska man shot and killed two people and wounded two others Saturday night at a Sonic Drive-in restaurant in Belleville, less than a week after he had been arrested at the same restaurant for using someone else’s app account to buy $57 worth of food, the Associated Press reports.
Police were initially notified of a possible bomb located in U-Haul truck in the restaurant parking lot, but within minutes the call was changed to shots fired. Police arrived to find the moving truck aflame.
Police arrested Roberto Carlos Silva Jr. of Omaha and charged him on suspicion of first-degree murder and first-degree arson. After his arrest last week for using another account on four separate occasions to buy hamburgers and corn dogs, police confiscated three guns from Silva’s property when he was released on a 10% cash deposit on $1,500 bill.
