It’s an issue Trump campaigned on, and for some, it was the most memorable issue he brought up in his 2016 run for president. No other candidate even had a position on it. But no one can say that Donald J. Trump–with just 36 days left in office–didn’t get it done.
Trump today signed a roll-back on shower head water flow standards, CNN reports.
Yes, that’s right: the issue that every American family has been discussing around the dinner table for eons… that cursed the Bathing Class for years… that echoed against the shower tiles of bathrooms from sea to shining sea (except, maybe, West Virginia), has finally been addressed.
“Today the Trump Administration affirmed its commitment to reducing regulatory burdens and safeguarding consumer choice,” Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette said in a statement. “With these rule changes, Americans can choose products that are best suited to meet their individual needs and the needs of their families.”
The “consumer choice” in this case is a 1992 law passed by Congress that limited the flow out of showheads to 2½ gallons per minute. Pressure can be obtained by many different methods, including making the holes smaller or reducing the number of holes in the showerhead.
No word from the Trump Administration when it will address the toilets that Trump claims need to be flushed 15 times or the dishwashers that “housewives” have to run twice to make their dishes clean.
