UPDATE (2:30 p.m. ET):  The body of the suspected shooter was found in Rockland, Sullivan County, in the Catskills Mountains, according to NBC 4 New York.  The suspect’s vehicle has been taken to a local police barracks for examination.

Investigators have also updated the sequence of event in the shooting.  Reportedly, Judge Salas’ husband, Mark Anderl, opened the door and was shot first.  His son, Daniel Anderl, ran to the door and then was shot by the attacker.  Daniel died at the scene.

Mark Anderl is in critical condition after surgery.

Police have not officially identified the suspect, but the Daily Beast says he was Roy Den Hollander, a “men’s rights” attorney and self-described anti-feminist who had several civil cases pending before the court, including one before Salas filed in 2015 relating to the legality of a male-only draft.

(12:55 p.m. ET)  CNN is reporting that the suspect in the murder of a judge’s son and the shooting of her husband at their New Jersey home is reportedly dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

US District Court of New Jersey Judge Esther Salas was not injured in the attack, but her 20-year-old son, Daniel Anderl, a student at Catholic University in Washington, DC was killed.  Her husband, Mark Anderl, a defense attorney and former prosecutor, was seriously injured.

A gunman dressed as a FedEx driver reportedly shot Daniel Anderl in the chest when he answered the door.  The shooter then entered the house and wounded Mark Anderl.

It has not been determined if the shooter was actually an employee of FedEx or if he just obtained a company uniform.
