“As of 1:00 this Sunday Morning, Enrique Tarrio is no longer a member of the Miami Proud Boys. He was ‘disavowed’ by his home chapter with a 95% Yay in favor of his dismissal, to a 5% nay, with four members that chose to abstain from voting” says an image posted by an Antifa-linked Twitter account, corroborated by PatriotTakes, and another screenshot of the purported vote.
Tarrio’s apparent expulsion follows his recent guilty plea on charges related to torching a Black Lives Matter banner hanging outside an African American church during a December 2020 “Stop the Steal” march in DC and his arrest for possessing ammunition in violation of DC law just prior to the Capitol riot, for which Tarrio was not present, having been barred from entering the District of Columbia for any reason besides court appearances as a condition of his bail. Then there’s Tarrio’s all but confirmed history as an informant for the FBI, which probably is something that committed members of violent ultranationalist street gangs aren’t too cool with.
