Florida Governor Ron DeSantis leads fat former President Trump 54% to 39% in a survey of Republican voters in the state by Blueprint Polling, a firm we’ve never heard of before but we’re happy to propagate it anyway to advance our warnings of a coming destructive schism in the GOP.
Now while in the past we’ve tried to egg on a warning of a deadly assault on Mar-a-Lago by National Guard and law enforcement loyal to DeSantis, we kind of are even more intrigued by the more reality-based prospect of Trump losing the nomination to DeSantis and then going on a kamikaze third party run which splits the vote against Biden, Harris, or Newsom in the 2024 general election. Now that would be pretty freaking entertaining because it would no doubt also force loyalty tests in down-ballot races and inspire MAGA candidates to make their own insane runs against Republicans in the House, Senate, and governor contests. Will be wild!
