Audio obtained by Mother Jones of Steve Bannon talking with associates on Halloween in 2020 (Bannon’s costume was probably just his ghoulish self), just a few days before Election Day. This isn’t terribly shocking or revelatory, as the very next day Axios reported that very plan without naming the source, but now we have very strong evidence it was either Bannon himself or someone who had this audio. Trump’s plan to capitalize on the “Red Mirage” in which in-person votes would favor the Donald of course was infamously short-circuited by Fox News calling Arizona for Biden early, leading to the batshit 2:30 AM “Frankly we did win this election” speech in the White House.
