Pressure grows for the NFL team in Washington to change their mascot as Nike pulled all of the team’s merchandise from its website.
Earlier today, FedEx–the business with the naming rights for Washington’s football stadium–sent notice to the team that it prefers the name to be changed.
This is the most pressure, from the highest level of sponsors, put on team ownership to change its name. The Washington team management has yet to public respond to these sponsors’ demands.
