In the midst of a pandemic that has killed more than 135,000 in the nation, with more than 50 million Americans losing their jobs, and with rising crime statistics across the nation, Donald Trump tweeted that a Joe Biden presidency would mean “no one will be SAFE.”

While no Biden policy comes close to proposing the abolishment of police, ICE, bail, suburbs, the 2nd Amendment or the American “Way of Life” [sic], Trump has repeatedly propagandized these campaign slogans to incite his base.

Biden released a set of policies yesterday to address climate change and environmental issues, none of which suggested “abolishing suburbs,” so the Trump basis for this tweet is mysterious.

While many progressives have called for police to be defunded in favor of a more overarching public service goal, Biden has specifically stated that he does not support the term “Defund the Police.”

Cash bail systems around the country have been under review after it has shown to unfairly and unequally impact poor and Black populations.

Apparently, this Trump tweet is designed to incite his base, again through lies, to get outraged over something that actually isn’t a thing.
