A Lincoln Project ad released Thursday morning extends the timeline of President Trump’s fallacious claims about his administration’s response and success combatting the coronavirus, juxtaposed with data showing the number of American cases and fatalities.

The ad includes such unforgettable hits as Trump’s claim that the US would have “close to zero” cases by the beginning of March; “everybody that needs a test gets a test”; “I don’t take responsibility at all”; injecting disinfectants; and his May 11th claim that “we have met the moment and we have prevailed.”
As of Wednesday, July 22nd, the United States has seen new highs in new daily reported cases, exceeding 70,000 on some days, with total US fatalities from COVI-19 topping 143,000.
